Pete & Repeat

So Isaac chatters ALL the time. He says many, many words. And he repeats whatever you say to him. Of course when he says, "I wuv oo" it makes everyone scream, "Awwwww!".

But the funny thing to do lately is to ask him a question. I'll say, "Isaac, do you want to go downstairs?" or "Isaac are you ready for a snack?" and he will answer, "Yessssss". It's so cute. Thank goodness he hasn't learned to say the word "no" yet!!

So the kids spend all day asking him questions to hear him say "Yesssss". And they say phrases to him so he will repeat them in his cute little voice. "I need a diaper" or "What's this?".  And then they will all laugh and laugh together. Love this large family!!

My "bwuther"

My three-year-old is blowing bubbles on our patio and said that he is saving his bubbles for his "bwuther". I was doing pretty good today. Now I am sad again!

Waiting for Referral News

Sooo....I have been waiting to post our SUPER GOOD NEWS until I had a little more information.
We were informed two weeks ago that we have been matched by Little Angels.
We know he is a boy. And we know he was born May 2011.  That is all we were told.
Apparently there was a misspelling of his name in some of the paperwork, so we still have to wait to receive the official referral that will include all his medical history and his pictures!

So we continue to wait.  I have not "unguarded" my heart yet. Sounds strange, I know, but I just can't go there yet. Too afraid of getting disappointed. So we patiently wait. Honestly I am still in shock. Part of me still thinks this is not going to happen after all.

In the meantime, the kids have all named the baby.
Nick: "Spiderman"
Sabrina: "Cutie Pie"
Emma: "Treelo"

Saving My Shirt

Today on the way to church, Sabrina, our 4-year-old, suddenly said, "When God sends us our African baby, I am going to save this shirt for him."

She was wearing her favorite Oscar the Grouch shirt. No one was even talking about the baby at that time.

Of course, I cried :)
